Communities request Ministry to intervene on Attacks in Kasungu

People of Chulu, Chisinga and Mphomwa in Kasungu have bemoaned attacks by unknown assailants who target motorbikes

On behalf of the three communities Charles Dokera says they are concerned with the security due to a rise in murder cases

Dokera says they have lost three men in a space of two months with the latest incident being the death of two from the same village of Newa who were killed on 16th February at Chisinga along Kasungu National Park

He has questioned the Minister of homeland security on their security since the attacks are happening despite having more than 40 men in uniform who camp just few metres away from the park

The people of Chulu, Chisinga and Mphomwa have called for urgent intervention to help them understand the source of the security breach and demonstrate a sense of responsibility and responsiveness of their leadership

According to Dokera their preliminary findings indicate that despite having a good number of law enforcers they have no single vehicle not even a bicycle that would aid their operations

They do not know what is needed to scale up their security and stop the deaths of young and energetic men.
