
Chinese Ambassador presents Letters of Credence to Malawi
New ambassador of China to Malawi has said her government will support Malawi’s adoption of industrialization and modernization policy.
Lu Xu, told the press after presenting her letters of credence to President Lazarus Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace that China will continue supporting Malawi’s development goals particularly infrastructure, tourism and trade.
Xu says have discussed a lot of developmental agendas with Chakwera; for instance, building of economic relationships therefore will encourage people in China to invest in different sectors in Malawi.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nancy Tembo, said Malawi and China have strong diplomatic relations as the latter has been supporting the former in different sectors
The new ambassador replaces Long Zhou who has been in the country since 2023.
