Children Of Same Family Killed By Wall

Two children of the same family have died after wall of the house they were sleeping in fell on them in Mpingwe Township, Blantyre.

Deputy publicist for Limbe police Widson Mshane has said the accident happened during the night of 22nd December when the children were fast asleep.

According to Mshane said the house is close to Mpingwe hills in Blantyre.

“Due to heavy rains the rock which was close to the house hit the wall hence falling on the sleeping children,” Mshane said.

They were rushed to Queen Elixabeth Central hospital where death was pronounced upon arrival.

Police is advising the general public to remove heavy materials or big rocks around their houses to avoid such accidents during this rainy season.

The family hails from Liwonde village TA Liwonde in Machinga district.
