ACB arrests Immigration Officer Over Corruption

Ant Corruption Bureau ACB has arrested immigration officer Vincent Ndovie for corrupt practices

The bureau established that while working at Mzuzu Immigration Office Ndovie received 78, 500 from a service seeker but gave no receipt

He allegedly promised the service seeker that he would assist in acquiring the passport which he did not

When Ndovie knew that the complainant reported the matter to ACB he called and threatened the complainant with unspecified action

According to public relations officer of ACB Egrita Ndala Ndovie was taken to Magistrate’s court where he was charged with three counts of abuse of office, theft and intimidation contrary to corrupt practices act and penal code.
