President Mutharika receives ambassadors’ letters
President Professor Peter Munthalika has received letters of credence from high commissioners of five countries.
The ambassadors that presented the letters at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe are from Japan, Russia, Republic of Phillipines, Islamic Republic of Iran and Kingdom of Thailand.
Speaking to the press ambassador of Thailand Komate Kamalanavin commended the good relationship between his country and Malawi.
“Japan is advanced in agro-business and showed interest in partnering with the country more especially in fish farming to improve living standards of Malawians,” says Kamalanavin

Other foreign envoys agreed with government to advance information communication technology, mining and trade among others.
In his remarks Minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation Francis Kasaira said it is very important that the ambassadors present their letters of credence because it brings a good relationship between Malawi and other countries.
“This will help in the growth of the country since each ambassador has special expertise that they want to share with Malawi,” Kasaira says
Kasaira said government is going to continue engaging different countries to cooperate with Malawi so that it can develop.
