Constituents Demonstrate Again Mangochi North MP

Concerned citizens in Mangochi North constituency have held peaceful demonstrations to force Member of Parliament Benedicto Chambo to step down for mismanaging 48 million kwacha meant for 4 irrigation schemes and 24 million kwacha for two bridges.

Speaking to radio Islam one of the organizers Patrick Wassie said they had given Chambo 10 days to explain where the money is.

Wassie said they presented a petition to the district commissioner through Traditional Authority Makanjira.

“If  Chambo fails to do so they will demonstrate again to Traditional Authority Lulanga on Saturday 10^th August, 2019,” Wassie said

In his remarks Chambo said the demosntrators have hidden agenda against him not that he misused constituency development fund
