Government Starts Buying Maize Next Week.

Government has said will start buying maize on Monday 8th July 2019.

Ministry of agriculture, irrigation and water development Kondwani Nankhumwa has said this in Parliament.

Nankhumwa said the Ministry will buy maize early this year as compared to previous years when it was buying in September and November.

“My Ministry will be buying the maize at a recommended price of 150 kwacha per kilogram,” he said

Nankhumwa who is also leader of house in parliament said government was waiting for the provisional budget to begin procuring the maize.
