Mangochi Has Mayor

Mangochi chief executive officer has advised new mayor Edna Yusuf to promote team work, respect opinions of members and represent the council professionally.

Funny Msimuko said this when administering oath of office for newly elected councillors.

Msimuko encouraged the mayor to accelerate service delivery to communities.

“Councillors should be custodians of good governance, accountability and advocate for needs of their constituents,” Msimuko said

In her acceptance speech Yusuf promised to work hand in hand with her fellow councillors.

In a related story, new mayor for Zomba city Benson Bula has pledged more developments in the city.

Bula said will promote oneness among all councillors so that development moves quickly.
