MCP Asks International Community To Request Mutharika’s Evidence On Party’s Al-shabab Links.

Malawi Congress Party MCP has called upon international community to ask president peter Mutharika to give them a file on Al-shabab links to the main opposition and UTM parties.

MCP president Dr Lazarus Chakwera has made the call after giving a 24 hour ultimatum to Mutharika to provide evidence on his claim but to no avail.

Speaking during a media briefing at MCP headquarters in Lilongwe the party’s Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka said it is irresponsible for somebody to claim that the two opposition parties are recruiting alshabab because such group is hated in the world.

He then said “MCP has endorsed the 4th and 5th July demonstrations organized by civil society organizations.”

During Mutharika’s inauguration at Kamuzu stadium he claimed that MCP had connived with Al-shabab to bomb the ceremony.
