MAM Faults Politicians On Violence

Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) has faulted politicians who are perpetuating violence in the country.

The comments come after Malawi Congress Party (MCP) supporters have been holding demonstrations in some parts of the country to express their dissatisfaction over last month’s presidential elections.

Speaking to Radio Islam MAM Publicity Secretary, Sheikh Dinala Chabulika, said there are other politicians who want to use innocent people to incite violence.

“As a faith based organization it condemns the act and appeals to concerned groups to take appropriate measures,” said Sheikh Chabulika

He reminded all politicians that elections come and go and there will be one winner at a time.
