Islamic Organizations Condemn Un-Islamic Conduct In Nikah

Islamic organizations have condemned un-Islamic conduct at a Nikka where girls dressed in Muslim attire danced secular music at Area 23 in Lilongwe last weekend.

Mangochi Islamic youth Movement, Muslim Association of Malawi and Majlis Ulama Council Mangochi Chapters made the condemnation at a press briefing in the district.

Speaking spokesperson of Mangochi Islamic Youth Movement Sheikh Abdunoor Fundi said the act is contrary to Islamic teachings and has disrespected Muslim community in the country.

He warned some secular Musicians to stop using Islamic dressing in their videos as this insults Muslims.

“Muslims believe in peaceful coexistence hence the need to value and respect Islam,” Sheikh Fundi said

Commenting, chairperson of the Movement Abdul-Hammid Kasos said the grouping will ensure that Muslims abide by Nikka principles which were shared by Majlis Ulama Council some months ago.

Kasos therefore said time has come for Muslim youth in the country to follow principles of Islam.
