Vice President challenges NEEF to instill discipline in Loan Officers

Vice President has urged National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) to instill discipline in its officers in order to combat poverty in the country.

Dr Michael Usi has made the remarks during a consultative meeting organised by NEEF with community leaders in Salima district.

Usi urged NEEF authorities to provide sustainable solutions to barriers in loan application process such as collateral and facilitate access for all individuals.

He encouraged NEEF beneficiaries to prioritize loan repayments and uphold discipline for the development of Malawi.

In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer for NEEF Humphrey Mdyetseni stated that “the institution is expected to disburse 70 Billion Kwacha this year.”
