Ministry Investigates Villages Omission in AIP
Ministry of Agriculture says its team is investigating complaints that many villages have been omitted in this year’s Affordable Inputs Program AIP
Addressing the media minister responsible Sam Kawale said they have also been told that in some villages there is no beneficiary, other villages are appearing in a different constituency, some constituencies being labeled invalid and interruption of the buying process
Kawale says by yesterday 608, 000 bags of NPK and 130, 900, bags of Urea have been delivered in villages waiting to be sold.
He adds that 96, 390 people have redeemed NPK fertilizer and 103, 367 bought UREA in 26 districts by Wednesday this week
According to Kawale 13,927, 000 Dollars have already been paid to suppliers of the fertilizer
