CDEDI to hold Vigils at Parliament to pass Maize Bill

Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) will hold vigils at parliament to force the house pass emergency maize bill

In a letter to Lilongwe district commissioner executive director Sylvester Namiwa says CDEDI requests government to release maize from national food reserve agency to all ADMARC selling points and reduce prices by half

Namiwa says is sad that maize prices are exorbitant despite parliament approving 12 billion kwacha for buying the staple food

He called on Malawians to take part in next week’ peaceful vigils at parliament
