Mai Aisha Trust stops running Balaka Islamic Institute
Mai Aisha Trust has revealed its discontinuation of running Balaka Islamic Institute after 7 years of administrative work.
Speaking to radio Islam, Mai Aisha Trust operations Manager Abdulaziz Yasin confirmed the development saying the organization has made the decision to stop running the Islamic School in order to concentrate on other schools which it also runs.
He said Mai Aisha Trust, has just returned the responsibility of running Balaka Islamic Institute to Muslim Association of Malawi who are the proprietor of the institution
Asked to clarify the reasons why Mai Aisha Trust has decided to stop running the school, Yasin could not disclose the reason instead referred Radio Islam reporter to Muslim Association of Malawi officials.
He however said Mai Aisha Trust will continue supporting students who were selected to various universities in the country from Balaka Secondary and other schools that the organization runs.
When contacted, Muslim Association of Malawi MAM could not comment much on the news saying it has not received any official communication to that effect from Mai Aisha Trust.
MAM publicity Secretary Sheikh Dinala Chabulika has meanwhile told Radio Islam that the Muslim mother body has so far not received official letter from Mai Aisha Trust saying he is just reading the news on social media.
