Blantyre, Lilongwe Schools reopen
Presidential taskforce on corona virus and cholera has announced that schools in Blantyre and Lilongwe will open next week
Co-chairperson of the taskforce Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has said the decision has been made after being satisfied with the cholera preventive measures which schools have put in place
Chiponda who is also Minister of health emphasized on the need to follow the measures because the cases are still increasing
On her part, Abida Mia, minister of water and sanitation said that out of the required 20 billion kwacha towards the fight against the cholera country has received about 14 billion kwacha from donor partners
MIA said the money will go into the procurement of cholera suppliers, choline and rehabilitation of boreholes in schools and communal taps among others.
