Concerned citizens ask President to establish caretaker government
Concerned citizens led by rights activist Bon Kalindo has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to put in place a caretaker government to organize fresh elections
Kalindo said this when he addressed the media in Blantyre on the situation the country is currently facing
He said Malawi is struggling due to lack of commitment by tonse alliance government to develop it
Kalindo requested Chakwera to address the nation within 10 days on all the stalled issues failure which will attract continuous demonstrations
On Chizuma Kalindo said the president lied through the minister of justice on dropping her case hence asking him to acquit her immediately
“Malawians are fed up with Chakwera and his tonse alliance government’s non-committal to ending massive plunder of resources by public officials hence must pack up and go,” Chakwera
Kalindo also called upon donor community to free donation to Malawi due to massive plunder of public resources
As such he said is in full support of those calling for federal system of government saying it’s the only way to ensure equitable distribution of wealth
On constituency demarcation exercise Kalindo described it as a mess for tonse government to claim more votes in the next general elections
