MCP distances itself from unscrupulous individuals in Police recruits training

Malawi Congress Party MCP has distanced itself from unscrupulous individuals who are duping aspiring police officers.

MCP has said this a day after social media platforms reported on Monday that some aspiring police recruits were sent back from Mtakataka and Kanjedza training schools because were not shortlisted

However when they were interrogated said a man called Chipiliro Kaliapo who resides in Nanthenje had been collecting 150, 000 kwacha from each individual on behalf of MCP promising that he would send them to police training

“Kaliapo had also been lying that he was listing the names with orders from state house and sent by Minister of Homeland Security,” reads MCP statement

But publicity secretary of MCP Maurice Munthali has distanced the party from Kaliapo and his claims

Munthali has appealed to police to apply appropriate law on Kaliapo and his accomplices
