Malawi Relief Fund UK donates wheel chairs to patients, physically challenged

In a bid to bring hope to the hopeless, Malawi Relief Fund UK has donated wheel chairs to Nkombezi Constituency in Chikwawa District

According to Malawi Relief Fund UK Programs Manager Munila Bakali, five wheel chairs have been donated to Ngabu Rural Hospital and others to physically challenged people in the area

Munila said the donation follows a proposal made by Member of Parliament for Chikwawa Mkombezi constituency Abida Mia on numerous challenges the health facility is currently facing

The Programs Manager said “the wheel chairs will address mobility challenges to patients at the hospital and individuals who have benefited from the donation.”

In her remarks, Member of Parliament for Chikwawa Nkombezi Constituency Abida Sidik Mia said she made the proposal as one way of addressing some of the challenges her people are facing

Mia asked beneficiaries and staff at Ngabu Rural Hospital to take care of the items to last longer

She promised to erect a fence around the hospital as one way of increasing security at the facility
