Russian and Ukraine troops fight in the streets as Russian soldiers attack capital city of Ukraine

President of Ukraine has vowed to fight on and not surrender but pleaded for help from international community

Meanwhile Ukraine embassy staff are relocating from Moscow to Lativia

The attack of the city came after Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution demanding that Moscow immediately stops its attack on Ukraine and withdraws all troops.

The vote was 11 in favor, with Russia voting no and China, India and United Arab Emirates abstaining.

Various countries have unveiled a series of sanctions against Russia targeting banks, oil refineries, and military exports.
